No really, come on Vogue. Where is your Facebook presence? Everyone is well aware of the fashion sovereign that is Vogue Magazine. They feature top fashion -photographed by visionary professionals, celebrities dream of being on the cover, and subscribers wait next to their mailboxes for the next issue. Yes they do plenty of justice to the fashion world and their subscribers, but what about the 1 million fans flocking to their Facebook? It’s time for the fans to receive some recognition.
1. When it comes to fashion, nothing gets hearts racing more than Fashion Week. Whether it’s New York, Paris, or Milan, this is where you want to be seen sitting front row. Most people only dream of this opportunity, so why not make a dream come true?
RTMG Suggestion: Send one of your lucky fans to a Fashion Week of their choice. Have them submit a picture of their favorite outfit or a sketch of their dream outfit and let the one with the most “likes” experience the fashion front row.
2. Landing pages….where are you? When fans come to a Facebook page they want to be enticed. There are too many pages out there doing amazing things for others to be falling behind.
RTMG: Tell fans if they like the page and enter their address they will receive their first issue free. Hello new fan. Make sure this landing page is also visually creative and brands your Facebook with one look.
3. Have a Tab where fans can tune in to watch live fashion shows. With new tools such as Livestream.com it’s becoming increasingly simple to get information to your followers. Conan O’Brien uses this every week for a live hilariously random segment that is streamed through his Facebook. It creates a conversation between fans and makes fans feel like they in on a secret.
RTMG: Use this to stream Fashion Shows going on throughout the world or even daily happenings around Vogue headquarters. Give behind the scenes access to elite events and soon your followers will feel so much more connected.
