Planning a Date is Hard Work!

Planning a date is hard, especially if you are in the beginning stages of what could be a whirlwind romance. What if they have some bizarre allergy to chocolate, or hate your favorite movie? With the craziness of Valentine’s Day, impromptu plans being made, and trying to cling on to some element of surprise, it can be difficult achieving that memorable night.

Oh what’s that? You’re friends on Facebook already? Hello the answer to the questions you may not want to ask via text message, and ones could make or break the night.

TMI just became the right amount
If you are anything like me, your Facebook is a playground of information on anything from what food you like, to the movies you watch yearly, even a favorite restaurant or clothing brand. One might say this is like winning the jackpot when trying to decide critical details of a date.

Today is Valentine’s Day and the shocker of the year is that someone has asked me to be his Valentine. Adorable? Yes. Slightly nerve-racking given the fact we’ve just met? Definitely. Here comes Facebook to save the day.

Rough plans for the night include take out and a movie. What movie…. neither one of us is entirely sure. So being a savvy social network creeper that I am, I went to his Facebook. Low and behold we like the same movies. And no it was not littered with movies such as The Hangover or only staring Seth Rogan and buildings blowing up every 2 seconds. Go figure, the guy has good taste, cue the Wes Anderson, Trainspotting, and Harry Potter series (extra points).

Other ways to use your creeper skills for the better when planning your next date… Check out the last couple of posts on your sweetheart’s page. He or she may have posted their new favorite song, or restaurant they are dying to try. Get creative and soon you’ll have that personal touch and a surprise, oh and calmed nerves. Go you!
